Recently an entire event's worth of awards was put in jeopardy due to
the fact that a particular group did not follow Kingdom Law.  From
page 22 of Kingdom Law Section V (Events) 1.2.A.1.

"A Kingdom Calendar Event is a gathering sponsored by an officially
recognized branch of the kingdom that is listed in advance on the
official kingdom calendar of events. The date, time, and place of the
event must be published in advance in the Black Star, and one or more
warranted officers of the sponsoring group must be present and
responsible for the conduct of the event."

Note that Kingdom Law (and Corpora) specifies "The date, time, and
place of the event must be published in advance..."

Without this info published in the Black Star the event is considered
an Off-Calendar Event and no official business can be conducted, ie no
awarding of awards.  Note:  What Crowns have done in the past is read
the Awards into law at an Official Calendar Event and then send the
scrolls to a Peer or Noble who will PRESENT the awards in their name
in a Moot Court at the local event.

Please, please make certain your local groups do this.   I will also
make certain this note gets included into the next draft of the
Seneschals Handbook.

Please share with your local Chroniclers as well.
