Everyone

I am monitoring lists to see if I can find out what folks actually need.

But my thoughts are.... imagine you left your house with nothing but the clothes on your back and maybe your car, your family and pets...

Now you have to take care of yourself, your family, and such for a month....

What would you need?
Ester, I think hats would be good as well as sunblock -since someday you will travel back to your home and may have to work on it before you can live in it again.

Tools and work gloves to work on the house...maybe give them the extra shovel cause you have 5 in the garage. Tarps to protect the items you salvage.

Toiletries - there was no time to gather them. So that means toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo, soap, Hand sanitizer would probably come in handy. Underwear, femine items and diapers for the baby...as well as wipes for the family and the baby.

Food items that can be eaten right out of the can, like chicken and dumplings or green beans, applesauce or things like that. You would also need a can opener and some eating utensils. Baby food and formula for the baby. Dry dog food for the puppy.

Clothes of all sorts.

You will also need sheets, pillows, blankets, etc for starters.

Until I hear back from others whom have actually spoken to those in need, this is the closest that I can come to giving a list.... I will keep monitoring other lists and get back to you when I know more.

A thought -- hats would be very welcome right now. Straw hats, baseball hats -- anything that will cover the head.

Surely, we all have a few spare hats running around? They're useful, and they don't take up much space when properly stacked and stuffed.

Greetings

I will be collecting for the Steppes area, so if you have anything please contact me at this email address or call me at 214-284-8855. I will then get with Colete or Rixende to see if they can deliver our items.

I will be at business meeting on Tuesday to collect items there.

Thanks!

I'm also one of Sarah's points of contact for taking in donations, then I'll
drive them to meet her in Tyler on September 8th. If I'm able, then I also
plan to travel with her and the goods to disburse them throughout
Louisianna.

I'm located in north Fort Worth, just a block north of Loop 820 and I-35.
Please contact me if you have clothing, non-perishable food, bottled water,
etc to donate.

Rix, you don't live very far from me and it would make more sense to combine
efforts than to make seperate runs. Give me a call so we can make
arrangements?

Greetings everyone!
Gleann Abhann has mobilized to assist their citizens who have been
displaced. They have created an "Underground Railround" method of
distribution to assist in this effort.
I have volunteered to be a depot from the Dallas/Fort Worth area to
Shreveport, where I can meet up with Sarah MacGregor and transfer our
donations to her for the next leg of the trip.
You can contact myself, Rixende, or Tomas and we can arrange for you to
drop off donations at our home in Bedford, TX.
I will be leaving on Friday, September 9th, after work. We can accept
donation leading up to that afternoon.
These donations will be geared toward helping SCA people in need, and those
who are around them.
Please, continue to donate money and blood to the Red Cross. As I have more
details of what else is needed by our SCA family, we will post. Please
assume any information about what is needed from Sarah MacGregor to be what
I can take over there for donations.
