BENEFIT CONCERT

 

FEATURING THE DALLAS SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA AND BENEFITING

THE AMERICAN RED CROSS

 

WHO:                 Dallas Symphony Orchestra, Dallas Symphony Chorus,

                           conductors Danail Rachev and David R. Davidson,

                           bass-baritone soloist Timothy Jones (a Louisiana native)

 

WHAT:               Musical performances to benefit Red Cross efforts for Hurricane Katrina victims.  In addition to inspirational classical pieces by Mozart and Dvorak, the tribute to the Gulf Coast includes Broadway classics “Ol’ Man River” and “You’ll Never Walk Alone.”

 

WHERE:                        Meyerson Symphony Center
                           2301 Flora Street, Dallas

 

WHEN:               7:30pm, September 29, 2005

 

MORE:               The Dallas Symphony Orchestra and Dallas Symphony Chorus will donate box office proceeds to the Red Cross Hurricane Relief Fund; orchestra musicians, chorus, conductors and soloist are volunteering their services.  

 

All ticket prices will be $15 and will be available on a first-come, first served basis.  Tickets may be purchased in advance by phone at 214/692-0203, on the Web site at www.dallassymphony.com or at the box office on the night of the concert.
