Subject: Re: [Steppes] DEMOS AT CONVENTIONS

As a former member of the All-Con staff (I was one of the original
member of the reation team) I'd like to clarify a bit on what happened
with that demo. They were in touch with the Baronial officers but the
reason that it fell through was because the staff wanted the SCA
demo-ers to pay full price admission when they came to the con. After
the con was over they would be refunded the entry price. Obviously that
wasn't such a hit with the people that were going to do the demo.

I'm not sure how they do it now; the people that did the martial arts
demo might be in a different situation than the SCA. One of the main
staff members of the con is a member of that Martial Arts group so
wouldn't have to pay to get in anyways. Oh and btw, the con was never
supposed to be a tie in with the Star Wars movie; it just happened to
open up in the same year so it was a big interest. it was always
supposed to be a multi-media and literary / comics convention. :)

If you are interested in trying to get into this con I can either give
contact information or I can try and contact the members myself; we
haven't talked much since I decided the SCA was more interesting. ;)
