Some of you may already know, most may not, Collin County last year
removed the liquor ban county wide. It is no longer a dry county.

A lot of their sites that were not available to us are now very
avaliable to us. Here is one example. For more you can go to the
Collin County website and click on Parks. This one is not far from
the Arena and Barns where Horse activies happen just about every
other weekend. Archery is supported. Shower facilities are there.
They have a hall, a nice big hall. All it takes is the right kind of
person to talk to them.

Myers Woods and Back 40

Myers Woods and the Back 40 are available to groups for camping.
Walk across a rustic footbridge to the secluded Myers Woods campsite
area. There you will find a perfect campsite surrounded by trees and
three fire-pits for story telling and marshmallow roasting. Because
it is a primitive camping area, motorized vehicles are not allowed
in the Myers Woods camping area. The Back 40 camping area is ideal
for groups that do not want to “pack in”. The area has picnic
tables, and is perfect for many activities such as: archery,
fishing, kite flying, and orienteering.

Rentals for both camping areas include the use of restroom facilities.
