A grice is a wild pig, as i understand it. A gryce's track is in the shape of a wild pig's footprint. Mine is hammered brass about 1 inch wide by 1-1/2 inches long.

While we probably do need more of the Oak insignia, from what the Baroness has said, we need the insignia for the other, non-armigenous awards such as Grice and Acorn, as well.? I also checked the Steppes website, and could not find "official" descriptions of the insignia.? This is a herald question, I believe, and I would think that this points out a deficency on the website, as well.? We do not list the other awards, only the Oaks, the Artisans, Champions, Bards, and Warlords (and maybe a couple of others).> > HL Saqra> > > -----Original Message-----> From: Loni Orbison > To: steppes at ansteorra.org> Sent: Thu, 5 Jul 2007 4:35 pm> Subject: [Steppes] Insignia> > > > http://heraldry.ansteorra.org/docs/AwardTexts2005.pdf> > This link should be helpful for people interested in making insignia.
