[Steppes] Vigil/Reception foods

Since I have very little control over my Laurel ceremony
I figured I'd have a nice reception as well as combining
in Hrafn's post-knighting vigil.  So, I would like there
to be good eats and drinks and basically make it the party
place of Warlord.
 
As for drinks there will probably be a keg of beer,
the Porto gargoyles will be spitting intoxicating,
I'll probably make a small mead and some barley
water and there will probably be other stuff involved.
Maybe a nice bowl of Sangria.
 
But any suggestions on what to bring for eats?
Of course I want to go beyond chips and Kroger cheese
tray.
 
There will be a mix of period and modern dishes. One thing
I'm thinking of is smoked salmon w/caviar cream cheese
canapes. Probably a roasted beef on horseradish cream
topped with curry. Some kind of sweets and some refreshing
nibbles since it might be hot. 
 
Any thoughts or suggestions on what you would like to see
or do?
