I agree. Not everyone makes it to the business meetings and we would
like to host populous but find that the calendar is filled it is a bit
disappointing. I usually like to have it in the summer when I am out of
school.

just went through the business meeting notes, and populace was scheduled
for the entire year in either January (first 6 months) or February (the
rest
of the year was scheduled).

I remember this...I wanted to host a Populace at my place during cooler
weather, but everything was already booked. What I would like to see is
a call
on
the list for volunteers to host, rather than just handling it at a
business
meeting. By doing it at the business meeting, the same people will feel
"obligated" to make sure that the entire yearly calendar is set for
Populace by
February, which is a bit excessive in my view. People's lives change
over time,
and
what seemed like a good idea in January or February could be a major
inconvenience or problem when the time actually rolls around. And, as
was
pointed out,
our newcomers or members who have just moved into the area have no
opportunity
to have it themselves for a year. Why not set them up on a quarterly or
tri-annual basis? Just a suggestion...

P.S. Although, if you are going to have a problem, having too MANY want
to
host is better than not having enough!
