[Steppes] I need some advice...

Good Evening All,

I just returned from a meeting about the Home School Demo on March 29th.  I
"volunteered" for a few things and would love some input from the barony.

First, I will be composing a single-page handout for visitors, on which I
would like to include:

     - Links to important SCA websites (SCA, Ansteorra, Steppes, 
       Elfsea, the cantons, etc.)

	- Good introductory reading material on SCA subjects.

	- Contact information for local chatelaines.

	- Upcoming events over the next couple of months.

If you know of anything under these topics ideal for newcomers (especially
under literature; print or electronic), please send them my way.


Second, I will be composing an SCA scavenger hunt.  The hunt will have about
20 questions that will require the hunter to interact with one or more
scadians in order to answer.  The goal is to setup encounters between
visitors and scadians, and to educate the hunter on SCA subjects and
culture.  For instance:

     Find someone with a white belt.  
         What is that person's name? __________________________
         What does the white belt signify? ____________________

     What are the four colours on the Barony of the Steppes' device?
         ______________, ______________, ______________, __________

     In what kingdom does the Barony of the Steppes reside?
         ______________________

Please send me any questions you can think of.  For instance, if you plan to
participate and would like to have people come up to you and ask you a
certain question about your art, craft, or skill, this would be a good
opportunity to set that up.


And finally, does anyone own or know of someone who owns cows, horses, or
moose?  Would you contact me off-list?  I have a quick question to ask of
you.
