Greetings to the Barony:

I just posted the email listed below to the Ansteorran list so sorry
if you get double pings, however, I needed to make sure all Steppes
folks could see this so I'm resending it to all of you. As I said
months ago, having this event on Jan 2nd was going to be very
challenging because we all have so much to do over the holidays and
we've lost a week that we usually use to get everything ready. For
this reason, the idea for this Twelfth Night was always that it be
laid back and focus on fun, revelry, and catching up with friends,
rather than themes and activities.

Also, it's impossible to predict how many people will be there. People
need space, but aren't sure how much they need, people want to be on
the schedule, but we are still trying to nail all of that down. But,
the event is 11 days away and our Feast Steward is already trying to
pre-cook some food to help with the time issues. This is particularly
stressful for all of us. If you can, be patient, and adjust your
expectations where you can. Support your autocrats and staff and let
us know - in a nice way - if something is missing.

Lastly, I have family obligations starting tomorrow and may not be
able to give an immediate response to you guys for 2-3 days,
especially on the 24th and 25th. However, I will try to catch my email
on my phone and respond as soon as possible.

Take care and have a great holiday - you are a great group of people
to work with, laugh with, curse with, and serve with. Best wishes to
each and every one of you for a Happy Christmas and Prosperous New Year!
