reporting in:

Neighbors next to us (on the east, winds were from the west) had a good-size
tree snap off just above the roots --  15 inch diameter trunk looks about
like someone separated it from the stump with a dull chainsaw...
Fortunately the position and direction meant it fell on open yard instead of
vehicles or dwelling.

Will wait for daylight to inspect more or farther afield.  We've found
nothing requiring more immediate attention on *this* property.
