[Steppes] crazy idea and slightly off-topic

I would love to do this, and might even have some co-workers who would be
willing to join, or help sponsor as we lost a co-worker this past July to
cancer.  Also I lost a grandmother, and my mother was a survivor and my
sister-in-law is currently a survivor of over 15 years with breast cancer.
