Wihtric hlafard Wihtmunding greets his lord and lady, Duncan and Genevieve,
crown's thanes of Steppes, and to their folk to whom they are kith!

Okay that might have been excessive, but it leads into the jist of this
missive.  With 12th Night quickly speeding towards us, I want to touch
occasionally on the Anglo-Saxon theme of the event.  I am hoping to have an
overview of life in the hall into Lady Elec by tonight or tomorrow, but I have
on occasion been asked a range of easy to involved questions on Anglo-Saxon
things.  I would love to put out a "This is the Anglo-Saxons" article but to be
frank, it is time consuming and, for the purposes of those who want to find ways
to add to the theme, might not hit on specific questions.

I am quite capable of just typing a litany, but rather instead I would ask
this:  If you have questions, especially ones you think other would like to
know, please send them to me.  In turn I will try to answer as best I can and
post the info in a location where everyone can access it whether it be in the
Steppes Letter, the new forums, both or elsewhere.  I do better with specific
questions versus trying to thinking up what might be interesting, which for me
might be far from readable for anyone else.

Some examples of what I can help answer would be break down of the period, runes
(geared toward the linguistic usage) and orthography, language, finding links on
garb and other archaeology, and so forth.  what I do not know, I can quickly
find.  I am by no means an expert on everything listed, but eager to help.

Gódspéde,
