I saw Saqra, or rather she saw me, at lunch Saturday, and I kept noticing more and more SCA people that, if we had managed to all get together at the same time in the same place, could have put together a very good demo.  Well done Quill.

Greetings Barony! I know I haven't been terribly active in the last
year-and-a-bit. Life happens, especially to the academic. But I promise I'm
still alive.
I just wanted to let you all know that despite the official demo not
occurring, we were nevertheless fabulously well represented at All-Con this
weekend. Some of us managed to pull off a very nice panel in the eleventh
hour on Saturday morning (thought it was definitely touch and go there at
the literal last minute - HUGE round of applause to the incredible Saqra!!!)
It was actually pretty well attended and very well received.
Next time, I hope whoever is in charge of organizing our table/demo will
give the team of volunteers more notice if they can't deliver, so that
someone else has a little more than 48 hours to step up and slap something
together. Still, we saved face for Steppes and the SCA, and I can officially
report a resounding success. Huzzah!
