A few months ago, Their Excellencies asked me to work towards developing an A & S night every month in the barony. While that has now been turned over to our new A & S Minister, Lady Gabriele, I wanted to let people know, once again, that we have a location and date for these nights. The first one is scheduled for next Thursday, Jan 12, at 7 pm. The location is the fellowship hall at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. 1333 Belt Line Road, Garland, TX 75040.

The hall is big enough that a class can be held in one portion, and others can work on projects of their choosing and either listen in, or visit and/or work. There are several long tables and lots of chairs, as well as a microwave, refrigerator, and "kitchen" sink.

The last thing I heard was that there was a naalbinding class scheduled, which was to be taught by Emma Haldan. I will leave that information up to Gabriele and Emma, but if anyone has any projects they need help on, or needs room to lay out a pattern, fit a garment, the second Thursday of the month is the night to come to get the help you need.

Google maps shows the location for the church accurately. There are three crosses in front of the church on Beltline Road to help you see it. The parking lot is off of Woodland Park Drive, which intersects with Beltline a very short block east of North Garland Road. The fellowship hall is the building at the farthest end of the parking lot, east of the Sanctuary. There has been recent construction and realignment of Brand/Namaan Forest Road that may not show on other maps. I haven't had a chance to check them all, but Google is correct.

Whether there is a class or not, please come and show us what your latest project is! Bring your dinner, if you like! There is a Jack in the Box across the street and there are several places to grab something on North Garland just north of 190. Please keep the second Thursday in each month open and come and see, share, learn, and assist someone that may need your experience, assistance, or just an affirmation that they are doing a good job on their latest sewing, embroidery, woodcarving, stained glass, wire weave......

If you need help finding the location or information about the facility, please call me at 972-896-1505. That is my cell number. I should be on site by 6:45 so if you get there early...no problem! We have the hall until 9, but can go longer if we need to. There is no cost to us for the hall, but it would be nice if you could put something into a donation basket/box for the cost of the utilities.

If you would like information on classes (taking, teaching, etc) please contact Lady Gabriele or Their Excellencies.

See you all next week!!! (and at Twelfth Night, too!)

In service,

Lyneya de Grey
