[Steppes] Scroll design contest - deadline February 18th

Greetings everyone

There will be a contest to be judged by Their Excellencies Duncan and
Genevieve for original scroll designs for Steppes Champion, Consort of
Grace and Honor, Consort of Love and Beauty, Steppes Archer and Steppes
Bard.  The prize is word-fame at Steppes Warlord in May.

The finished scroll size including design and calligraphy and signature
lines will be 11”x14”.  The calligraphy does not need to be on the scroll
design but leave space for it to be added later.  Your drawing will need to
be in black ink on any paper.  The designs will be transferred to the
appropriate paper later.  The scribal guild can paint the final scrolls and
lay in the calligraphy *or* you can finish it yourself .

The deadline for designs is February business meeting February 18th.  Special
consideration will be given to local Steppes first-time designers however
anyone can submit their drawings.  Designers will need to also submit an
SCA creative work copyright assignment/grant of use form.  This can be
found on the Ansteorran website under “forms”.
