Now that sleep, showers, and laundry has happened....

War was awesome! There was art, fighting, more fighting, shopping,
court, dancing, eating, talking, chili, shopping, rain, cold, sunburn,
shopping, archery, laughter, s'mores. You name it, we did it and did it
well.

Thank you to Mistress Xene and Don Llewelyn for coordinating camp.
There was a plan that we quickly threw out the window. It all worked
out in the end and we made our camp a great place to call home (if only
for a week.)

I would like to offer my congratulations to several of our members that
were recognized in court. First, congratulations to Alexandra Notte
Clare (Yavaniel Alexander) for receiving a Sable Thistle for banner
making. Congratulations to Capten Rhys for receiving a Compass Rose
for his work with the youth combat program. Word fame was given to Jon
Luthersson for the feast box he made as our Inter-Kingdom gift. The
box was phenomenal. Congratulations also goes out to Vladimir (Toryn's
son) for becoming one of the first six members of The Pride, the youth
division of The Lions Champions.

Our members stayed busy during the day with fighting and entourage
work. Robert Wilson (Duncan de Bard) and Elizabeth Ferguson Wilson
(Christianna Inghean Fearghus) earned their Scholars badge by taking
the required number of classes.

The week was busy for some, relaxing for others. War is what you make
of it. I think that all in attendance this year had a great time and
are looking forward to next year. If you are able to attend a future
war, I encourage you to do so.

Thank you to all that attended. I very much enjoyed getting to know
you better and hope that you had an equally wonderful time. Until next
year!

Baroness Ekaterina
known as Katya
