[Steppes] Business meeting 18 October

Greetings Steppes,

 

It’s happened again. Another month has passed. The 18th of October is the 3rd Thursday of the month so it’s time for business meeting. 

 

The meeting will, once again, be held at The Londoner at 14930 Midway Rd, Addison, TX 75001. We will typically meet in the upstairs room where we met on May 30th for Steppes Goes to Dinner, but last month when the upstairs was not usable, they reserved us a room downstairs and even put up a sign for us.

 

The meeting will begin promptly at 7:00 so you might want to get there a few minutes ahead of time if you want to order. If you’ve made other plans for eating, PLEASE do not feel that you need to order something just to come to the meeting. However, this should save a fast food stop for those of you coming directly from work. I believe that we have learned to take BRIEF stops when servers show up with food because the servers frequently are different from those taking the orders.  Try to be as discrete and respectful as possible if ordering while others are giving their reports. 

We’ve been getting the business handled promptly and still having a chance to socialize.  I have had quite a few Steppers give me positive feedback on the venue. No place can be perfect for everyone.

As always, when the main business meeting is over, Cristiana will preside over the finance committee meeting. It would be nice if we could just move that meeting into the corner and proceed without everyone else having to cease their fellowship.
