For those who care to know.
<BR>I find email to be a cold and uncaring necessity of our life. It lacks
the personal touch that even a cell phone call has but as Erc said it is
what we have. I applaud all those involved in this latest thread for being
adult enough to say "I made a mistake and I'm sorry" publicly! I takes
a lot of man (or women) to do that.

<BR>As the only one who has seen the site of this demo I will tell everyone
now that we should have an acceptable background for some sort of archery
demo. The site is smallish and there are a lot of spectators around so
it will up to the North Texas Irish Feast people and Ironwyorm as to whether
or not that is possible. I hope it will be. Please don't let that possibility
dampen your desire to come out to NTIF. This is a great opportunity to
meet new people and tell them about the SCA whether you get to shoot or
not.

mean to be so curt in his reply. There is a good possibility that he was
not aware of the previous posts, thus unaware of the entire history involved.
E-mail is a very poor means of communicating ideas and thoughts from one
person to another.
<P>I do hope that you will reconsider and continue to your interest and
participating in one of the finest outdoor art forms that I know and love
doing.

This caught me out of left field. I do not understand the tone here.
<P>To mewhen combat archery is mention as being brought onto the field
of play, thenit is usual being employed against live opponents and not
static targets. The question needed to asked concerning will fighters and
archers would be on the field and actually mixing it up. The earlier e-mails
did not stated the details, and so I asked the Question.
<P>And by the nature of combat archery, the points involved are Always
some type ofblunts and NOT field points. I do know the difference between
the two, although I do not shoot field points at this time. I do study
and strive to perfect the artsof combat archery on and off the field as
defined by both the SCA and theKingdom of Ansteorra.

ever compromised, I will halt that event and pull the authorization cards
of whomever is responsible for that act!
