were some elements that wanted us gone because we were taking crowds away from
those "professional renfaire" performers and merchants who were there
to make money. Also, they wanted to bring in the formal Medieval Times
style "jousting" shows. Aside from that, I always felt the
separation was amicable - witness the fact that we used the Scarfaire site for
several events after we ceased formal participation in demos. It's been
over ten, maybe fifteen years since the last event there, though, and I think it
was either a liability insurance issue, or maybe the cost of the site itself,
that was the cause.</FONT></DIV>
