Having seen the library they have, it rivals the Temple library.
And they are both wonderful cooks.
I like the idea of get togethers. I don't care at where. I just hope I
don't have other things going on at those times.

Hello, folks!
Alden and I would like to volunteer our house once a month, for an open
library/project night and period meal. Our library is moderately extensive
(*g*) on most SCA subjects. It will need to be on a Thursday. Which
Thursday of the month would vary depending on Rolanda's work schedule; she
has some Fridays off. If she has to work on Friday, everyone would have to
leave at 8:45 (and we know some people won't get here until 8:30 *g*.) We
will post the date by the beginning of each month.
If people are interested, we have a good selection of cook books of the
period, many of which have recipes we haven't made yet. We could either have
a potluck, with everyone trying to bring a period (or close to period dish);
or we could post a menu and list of ingredients, with everyone bringing
ingredients; or people can chip in to defray costs. If you have a recipe
you want to redact (translate), or just one you want to try out; bring it
over and we can give it a try. This is a great way to do feast research!
