Actually, my family back in California thinks the SCA
IS a cult.  Actually, i only really see one diffrence.
 The SCA doesnt necessarily discourage having mundanes
for friends.  Altho...  Its not like many of us HAVE
mundanes for friends...  hm...

ps- my family also seems under the impression that
everyone in the SCA is a heavy fighter.  Including my
mom...  LOL, can you picture her in armor?
