On a positive note, I look forward to seeing each of you at Camp
Arrowhead on Saturday, the 10th of September for a layout planning
session and a general work day to 'tidy-up' our *new* site for the
October 15th thru 17th Non-Event. We'll start at 9:00 am.

Bring your gloves, mowers, weed-eaters, saws, lopping shears, etc.
We're going to work smart, not terrifically hard, and we'll make the
site a lot nicer for our use. Some of us will camp out Saturday night,
and you are welcome to join us. This will be a mundane weekend
activity. We'll finish up and break camp by mid-day on Sunday so we can
get to the Populace meeting.

To get to the Camp Arrowhead site, you will go out Highway 439 from our
*old* site approximately two miles further towards Killeen. When you
pass the CEFCO Store on the left and go down the small hill, you'll see
a sign for BLORA (Belton Lake Outdoor Recreation Area) on the right.
Turn right onto Sparta Road, and take the left fork twice - when you
cross the cattle guard and come onto Fort Hood, the site is about 1 mile
on the left. (We will be outside of the security perimeter - you don't
have to go thru the ID process for Fort Hood proper.) There is a sign
that says "Camp Arrowhead" - turn onto the gravel road by the sign and
come across the creek - you'll find the fence and the gate. Come on in.

If you get to the entrance to BLORA, turn around and come back!

vr,

Dave Jordan
