QUEST FOR THE ROUND TABLE

QUEST RULES

 

Entrants in the Quest for the Round Table will be vying to show the extent of their Knightly Virtues.  They will receive ribbons worth 

points toward a final tally taken at the end of the day.  Entrants will keep track of their ribbons on a favor  provided at Armor 

inspection and sign up.

 

 Entrants can receive point ribbons from and for:

 

All attendants of the event will receive a Green Ribbon worth 1 point, to be given to an entrant for a individual service.

 

The stewards for the various events will be reporting to the Event Steward, a list of people who have offered service to the Shire for

marshalling, heralding, setup, gate, waterbearing, etc. Toward the end of the day, the Event Steward will be gifting a blue ribbon

 worth 10 points, to the entrants deserving of recognition of service.

 

At the beginning of the Tournament, during Armor Inspection and Sign up, Entrants will be given red ribbons. These ribbons will 

represent bout wins and will be exchanged by the combatants at the end of each bout. One red ribbon will represent one win. 

Each red ribbon will be worth 5  points.

 

Three Ladies of Virtue will be wandering the site and looking for exceptional displays of Prowess, Nobility and Humility in the 

Entrants.  Entrants will receive a white ribbon  from a Lady of Virtue.  Each white ribbon will be worth 10 points.

 

Each Entrant entering an A&S entry worthy of such a competition will receive a gold ribbon from the A&S Steward for the entry 

and the overall winner of the competition will receive a prize and extra point ribbons to keep or bestow on their chosen Entrant.  The 

A&S competition will be open to everyone. Gold ribbons will be worth 5 points.

 

Their will be a deadline of 4 pm, Saturday afternoon for the entrants to turn in their points ribbons to the Points Steward for 

tallying before Court.  At Court, a worthy prize will be given to the 6 entrants that received the most points.

 

Our Knight’s Council will have been surveying the days events for exceptional displays of the particular values of chosen Knights of 

the Round Table and what they personify.  At Court, our Knights Council will proclaim the entrants they believe most personify the 

virtues of each chosen Knight and bequeath wonderous regalia to the first Knights of the Quest for the Round Table. 

 

Our Ladies Gallery will be surveying the entrants during the day and chosing the Knight of the Virtue of Courtesy.

 

Sir Perceival as the virtue of Prowess will be granted to the victor of the Chivalric Tournament. Sir Lancelot as Courage, 

Sir Galahad as Humility, Sir Kay as Loyalty, and Sir Gareth as Justice will be granted solely by the Knights Council. Sir Gawain 

as Courtesy, will be chosen by the Ladies Gallery. 

 

Points Ribbons:

 

Shire Service                  Blue            10 points

Populace Service          Green          1 point

Combat Wins                Red             5 points

Ladies of Virtue             White         10 points
