I enjoyed our Joint Populace with Tir Medoin last night, and wish to

send a "well met"

to all those members of Tir Medoin who couldn't make the meeting or who

I didn't manage to meet personally before everyone left.  I am Connor

Ivorson (mka Robert O'Neil), Tempio's Reeve.<br>

I stated in the meeting that we had to have 30 days notice to receive a

refund if we were to cancel rental of the Gober Party House for the

2005 Yule Revel, which meant that we had to have a decision on a new

site more centrally located (and possibly on another date than

Coronation) by December 15th or so.<br>

<br>

Well, I checked with the City of Temple Parks and Leisure Department,

who rents the

Gober Party House to us, and I was wrong.  I was actually off quite a

bit.  They only require 48 hours notice, measured in "business days". 

We therefore would be able to cancel the rental of the Gober Party

House on January 13th (a Thursday) and still receive a refund.<br>

We therefore have more time than I suggested.  My apologies for the

misinformation.<br>

<br>

To ensure that all the 'paperwork' can be done in a timely manner,

however, I suggest that we make a decision on an alternate site prior

to January 1st, 2005, if possible.  Tempio's next Financial Committee

meeting is December 5th (this coming Sunday), so we'll need to call a

special Financial Committee meeting to approve any checks for the new

site if we want to arrange for a new site after that date.<br>
