Well you can still get it.
After all, it's been drilled into my head by different folks in the SCA
that it's not a simple progression up to the peerages or even through the
award structure.
Personally, I wouldn't worry about it though. It might just go to your
head if you got a service award like that. *grin*
Remember to do it for the fun, not the cookies. (Unless they're
chocolate chip.)

Well everyone was so busy throughout the day and then I couldn't see
anyone after dark 'cause I'm fairly night blind. Heck, I met 2 people (Sammy
and Rosario?) I know I wouldn't be able to tell you what they looked like
because it was dark. I *think* I briefly met Sammy at Tempio though.
Chaing, and lots of other people around, on the other hand just don't
remember meeting me before because I'm good about not having a name most
of the time. Oddly enough, too many people know my name and it annoys me
when they place a face with it. (Being anonymous has it's advantages.)
Amazing how many stars there are in areas like that! I miss that a lot,
but not enough to move back to the middle of nowhere Illinois.
Ciao,
