Greetings!  Just a reminder that Academy of the Rapier is right around the
corner - and there is a track for chivalric!  Please note the extended
directions and that there is not glass containers to be brought on site.
Also - for those intrested and can make it June 20th the Barony is having its
montly revel with feast/needlework guild earlier that day............come
out..........have fun and then revel the night away.  Hope to see everyone
there.

To Grow, One Must Learn
Greetings unto the populace of Ansteorra and those interested in the art of
rapier combat.  

The Barony of Bonwicke invites all to attend Ansteorra's Academy of the Rapier
held at Eagle's Landing in Nolan, TX.  From duelist to novice, from White to
Red Scarf, from rapier to rattan -- all will be in attendance.  The White
Scarves of Ansteorra will be there in force, the question is...will you?

Classes will be presented so that all can benefit. Are you an advanced fighter
seeking some new ideas and approaches to the Duel? Are you a novice seeking to
work with an instructor about whom you have only heard and from whom you wish
to learn a different technique?  Or are you a rattan fighter seeking to learn
the techniques of the duello?  This is the event for all of you! Over 35
instructors have offered their time and expertise to this academy, so come
play, learn, and enjoy.

EXTENDED INSTRUCTIONS TO SITE
The event is conveniently located 23 miles South of Abilene, Texas. Take
Winters Freeway which is  277/83/84 south from I-20 to the 277/14th Street
exit.  Take 277 to Hwy 89. Turn West on Hwy 89, go approximately 4.5 miles to
Co. Rd 351. If you miss the 277/14th Street exit and find yourself on Hwy
89/Buffalo Gap Rd, continue on to the town of Buffalo Gap, following Hwy 89.
In Buffalo Gap you will make a right onto Hwy 89 and continue until you cross
over 277.  Staying on Hwy 89 to will come to Co. Rd 351.  Gate opens at 5:00
p.m. Friday.

PLEASE ALSO NOTE
Shaded area for camping is very limited.  Please more then one person per
tent.
  Large pavilions will have to be placed in non shaded areas.  No Glass
Containers on Site.
There is electricity on site, solar showers and flush toilets.
