 Here is some more  information re: motels for academy.

Motel 6 on I-20 is 28 miles from site and 2 people, 2 beds $38.41  
1-800-466-8356.  The exit number is 282 from I-20.  This is just one 
mile from the I-20 and 83/84/277 interchange.

On South 1st street Royal Inn $32.00 for 2 people, 2 beds.  
1800-588-4386. 5695 S. 1st.  Take South 1st. exit from 83/84/277.  Go 
West.  If you see the Wards and the new Winn Dixie, you turned the 
wrong way.
 
Travel Inn on I-20 at exit 285.  $43.93 including tax for 2 people, 2 
beds (915) 677-2463

Past the 277 exit on 83/84, about two exit down, is the Hamton 
$59.00 1800 426 9866  and Ramada Inn $61.00 1800 228 2828
 all aprox 24 miles from site.
