Yes, they did!  Out of 122 fighters in the list, there were 10 Western Regional
fighters (or 10 1/2 fighters if you count Romanus, who made it to the SEVENTH
round ;-).  Drake (Bonwicke) who won it and Max (Bonwicke) who also fought hard
that day. Alister (Blacklake) went out in the second round after two very, hard
fought fights with experienced fighters.  Kern (Adlersruhe), Yonatan (Bonwicke),
WeeLan, Sam, and I (Blacklake) made it to the FIFTH round.  Aaron went out in
the seventh and Daniel made it to atleast the EIGHTH and had a very impressive
fight in the seventh with Sir Lionel whom he defeated. (Disclaimer:  If
Aaron/Brita's memory have forgotten anyone else or the info is incorrect, please
forgive, for we passed out from exhastion shortly after the seventh round :-)

Aaron and I are very pleased with every fighter, except maybe Gerrold and the
group camped out around the beer cooler ;-) (although Gerrold says it was very
good beer).  Each fighter fought with honor and showed great skills to each of
their opponents.  We are very proud of each fighter.  It made the weekend feel
complete.  Thank you.

Thank you,  Adelaide!  and many thanks to everyone who help with  the vigil.
Rosario-wonderful food as always;  Weelan, Gerrold, Robert (Uncle Bob), and
Alister as vigil guards;  the Lady and her husband from Elfsea who set-up and
gave the use of their beautiful pavillion for the vigil;  Gerrold, Sam, Robert,
Gavin, Weelan, Alister, Romanus, Brett, and Sigrun for being apart of the
prosession;  those who attended the vigil and gave words of advice and gifts;
Kayliegh for video taping the ceremony;  Clan McGregor for being the family I
haven't had;  and most of all,  TO EVERYONE IN THE WESTERN REGION ...  THANK YOU
...  for the NINE years of support, love, bruises, teaching, and guidance  from
both fighters and non-fighters.  If it were not for each of you, this would not
have been possible.   The smiles on your faces before, during, and
after the ceremony made all of this worthwhile for me.
