WR - Possible New Policy

Greetings,

On the Crossroads Keep list, there has been a discussion started
concerning a possible new policy that has been proposed by Master Richard
Fairborne, soon-to-be Kingdom Seneschal, which is as follows:

>>Effective coronation: All local officers must submit a copy of their
>>monthly, bi-monthly, or quarterly report to their local seneschal.

The problem that this policy is trying to address is that many local
officers are not reporting to their regional representatives, and when
they do finally report, it is only after lots of phone calls, emails, and
face-to-face visits. This is a serious problem because not reporting can
cause a group to be dissolved!

My questions to you (the people who are the SCA) are:
Will requiring each officer to report to their seneschal resolve the
problem of them not reporting to their regional rep?

If people are not reporting anyway, what will make them do an extra
report for the seneschal?

Are we going to be causing more trouble for our hardworking seneschals or
will we be helping them by doing this?

What other options do we have to try to resolve this serious problem?

I would like to see opinions and suggestion from everyone who would like
to help. I'm just trying to involve everyone who is apart of the SCA in
discussion that will affect our own futures. If we don't voice our
opinions or try to resolve the problem together, we may wake-up one day
and find our group dissolved and our hobby gone.

Let's pull together and fix this problem, Western Region!!
Vivat Ansteorra!!
