Wow!  I think you have overwhelmed us with your very detailed answer, Mangus.
Thank you.  Yes, that is correct.  In general, it is a 45 degree, forward,
movement of a unit, to the right or left.   You probably won't see that maneuver
very often, but it is always important to aware of all commands.  When used, it
would be probably be given as, "Western Region ... advance to the right
oblique."
