We are having a Celtic Festival on Saturda, November 6th from 11 am to 4 pm
at the Arboretum in the City of Woodway next to Lake Waco which is just South
of the City of Waco.
The festival will be hosted by the City of Woodway and there is no admission
charged to visitors. The theme is "A Celtic Celebration" which is designed
to showcase the culture and technology of artisans, fighters, and
entertainers from pre-18th century.
A tented station will be provided with a table and chairs. Artisans and
demonstrators will be provided lunch and there will be an informal reception
at 5pm for them and volunteers.
Are there people who would be interested in displaying their skills and work?
Fighters, any type of metal worker, illuminator/calligrapher, glass
blower or lamp worker, enamel on metal, pottery, leather,
linen/cloth/Irish silk, jewelry/forehead pieces, shields,
cups/plates/urns/basins, cumdach shrines/bell shrines, combs/clasps/small
caskets, science demonstrations ?
We keep searching for artists who do Celtic work and/or symbols: circles,
spirals, lozenges, parrallels, divergent spirals, trumpet patterns, knotting,
interlacing filigree, and sepentine bands.
We would be most greatful for your help and look forward to hearing from you.
