chess was invented before the Vikings, I think I remember seeing an old chess board that was supposed to have been found in a wreck of a Vikings ship alot of different games have been around for centuries. I sometimes wonder if our ancestors had the courage and willpower to use the games to settle their differences. Course lets not forget the gladiator tourneys.
