WR - Sentinel Directions

Some have asked where is the Blacklake Sentinel site.  Here is the scoop.


Site is Andrews County Park, Andrews, Texas. The site has grass and trees
which is a plus for West Texas. It also has flush toilets, sinks but no
showers. It has a play ground and sand pit for the children. Also has
volley ball area. 

 If you coming West on Interstate 20 - a quicker route would be to get
off on Texas State Highway 176 in Big Spring, Texas to Andrews, Texas.
Once in Andrews, get on Highway 385 going North. Highway 385 runs down
the middle of Andrews downtown. Andrews County Park is North of Andrews
on Highway 385. It will be to your right. It will seem like it is taking
forever to get to the site but you will find it. Watch for signs.  Just
look out toward the East and you will see a clump of trees in the middle
of desert.  

If you are coming from Amarillo then it is Interstate 27 from Amarillo to
Lubbock. From there it is Highway 62/385 from Lubbock to Andrews, Texas.
>From Lubbock it will be on the Left side before you reach Andrews, Texas.


The weather for this weekend is: no rain, partly cloudy, temperatures
will be low forties at night and low seventies in the day time. 
Make sure to bring plenty of liquids and sunscreen even though it may be
cooler weather.
