Just announced!

Outlands Costume Collegium 5 will be held in Trinidad, Colorado. Close to the Western Region. Only 4 hours from Adlershrue and 6 hours from Bonwicke. A great opportunity to enhance your costuming skills by learning from new and exciting teachers.

Speaking of teachers, we'd love to have some Ansteorran teachers. New and exciting people for the Outlands to learn from.

For more information check out the website http://www.caerthe.org/ccv/ccv.html

Please forward this to anyone who might be interested. Hope to see you there!

This year's Outlands Costume Collegium promises to be a fine event. Our featured presenter is Robin Netherton, known to mundane and SCA costumers alike for her thoughtful research and wonderful commentary. Some folks may remember her several presentations at Known World Costume Symposium. Her article on a proposed cutting method for a 12th century Norman gown appeared in the Winter 2002 Tournaments Illuminated. At Costume Collegium V she will be presenting on 14th Century gothic gowns.

This year's collegium will have all the things you have come to expect: merchants, The Walk Through History, an exhibition of costume, merchants, the finest teachers the Outlands and its neighbors have to offer, and did I mention merchants? As in previous years, the Proceedings will be available. You can pre-order the Proceedings, or buy them at the event.

Classes will begin bright and early at 8 am (hence the coffee and bagels on site!). Box lunches will be served, and munchies will be available all day. There will be a reception Saturday evening in a wonderful historic house on campus. A light dinner will be served. Feel free to bring mugs or other drinking vessels, but feast gear will not be necessary.

The $12 site fee covers morning coffee and bagels, luncheon and evening reception. Reserve early because the fee goes to $15 after March 15!

Take a look at the web site for the most current information, and for a teacher sign up sheet. Be sure to check the site often, as classes are added and some of them will be pre-registration only!

Trinidad is in the center of the Outlands, so it is within reach of everyone. We eagerly look forward to seeing you there!
