happens to lots of people.  just go to one of the anti hoax or virus sites
like systematic and check out stuff like this when you get them before you
send it on or do anything to your computer.  some warnings are legit.  this
particular one was not.  might want to let your friend who sent it to you
know about it, too.  i generally go to one of the search engines and type in
hoax, and then go to one of the sites and check it out.
