I live in Stephenville, Tx. I make the drive to Hords creek twice a year  
for family functions. I would like to add to directions from the Dallas  
and sorrounding areas.

 From Dallas (Aprox 2 1/2 t0 31/2 hours depending on what side of dallas  
you live on)

Take HWY 67 from Dallas to Stephenville Turn left on 377/67 (this is a T  
intersection. if you see a sign for fort worth turn around you went the  
wrong way) Take 377/67 through Dublin,and Commanchee to Brownwood. in  
Brownwood 377 splits off of 67. Stay on 67 as soon as you make it through  
Santa Anna turn Right on HWY 84. take HWY 84 to 153 (this is a right exit  
that takes you under HWY 84.if the orange consruction barrels are still up  
go 100 feet past the main exit and turn right it's a secondary turn off  
for 153 that is open to 2 way traffic if you reach the 84/283 junction  
turn a round you missed your turn) take 153 through Coleman aprox 7miles  
take the 2nd entrance on your right into Hords Creek once through the gate  
follow the signs to group shelter 6.(if you reach group shelter 5 turn  
around yu again missed your turn)

 From Fort worth take I 20 to 377. take 377 through Stephenvill Dublin and  
Commanchee to brownwood. in Brownwood 377 splits off of 67. Stay on 67 as

Note. there is a bait store between the first and second entrance to  
Hordes creek. unless your getting Bait or Ice the store is way way over  
priced. it is actually easier on your pocket book if you drive into  
Coleman to get any Items you may need.
