[Western] taxes

Go read the code and ask a tax man, which I have and he said that entrance
fee's and such are deductible if you are representing the office of which
you hold. It has been that way for years as part of the IRS allowing the
deduction of dues and conference fees for those attending seminars and such.

However, if one is not an officer or in an official duty status of the
group, they are not deductible.

I have checked this out with my tax man and have looked at the code itself.
It is allowable.

There are other things allowable also as an official in the organization.

If one steps up to take on the duties of an organization, the IRS
recognizes that as a financial burden and considers it a "donation in kind".

It is not dishonorable, it is legally allowed and those in those positions
need to take advantage of it.

Which brings me to mind, are you an officer of a group or ever have been?
If not, you should be and if you have been or are, I salute you.

The organization must be a recognized 501 CXXXX, non-profit group of which
the SCA is (501 C3). It is no different than donating money to the group
and is handled in a similar manner.

Even Tax Cut software address's this in its preparation of tax returns.

Talk to your tax man, they will say, you can deduct these items. If not,
find a new tax man as it is quite legal as it has survived many audits.
