I like the pics.
I like the trees.
I like the water.
I like the price.
I like the facilities.


However, I have to bring up the same gripe everyone in the Western Region
has said at one time. That is a long drive! Adlersruhe will have 6.5 hours
to the site. Weisenfur is only 4 hours. What incentive is there to drive 2.5
extra hours other than to support the Western Region?

I am changing the site.  Gripe at me here on the list or take your shots at
Crescent Wrench.

1.  Site fee for Sweetwater Lake park is $240 *per day*, rather than $200
for the whole Labor Day Weekend. Last year, the price for the portajohns and
showers was about $1200.  The guy who is in charge of renting the park
suggested that we just raise our gate prices to pay for the increase.

2.  Facilities at Sweetwater Lake Park are the same as last year.

3.  New site is Hords Creek Park http://www1.swf-wc.usace.army.mil/hords/ .
It is 8 miles west of Coleman, TX.   There is room for melees, can have
archery and thrown weapons, allows merchants, we will have 2 covered
pavillions, kitchen facilities, wet site (period containers), close to a
city with grocery stores, hospitals, motels, etc, flush toliets and showers,
shade, playground, parking, place to swim, water and electric hookups.  We
will have pics of the site at Crescent Wrench.
