YES!!!!!

It is considered a cash contribution to the group...unless you give them 
property or something of real value. That is handled a bit different.

You can deduct your travel (at the non-profit rate), meals and even clothing.

HOWEVER,

All of this is IF you are carrying out a duty as an officer or other 
delegate of the organization.

There may be a way that a member who is not an officer or such be able to 
deduct the costs, but I know an officer, Crown or Landed B&B can as 
"Officers" of the organization can in carrying out their duties of the group.

Read the info on it. The IRS has pretty good FAQ's online. Check with your 
personal CPA/Accountant also.
