Lake McCellean doesn't have the area we need for roughly 400 people. From
what I have seen there, and I have driven both sides of the lake. We asked
for others to give input on alternative sites and got no suggestions. We
didn't find a site as nice as this any where else. From Mendersham Defender
the site worked out very well for our needs. Only had 2 complaints, not bad
at all form 83 people who chose to come to the event. We have had numerous
people praising the site. We know it is a long drive for some ... We moved
from Sweetwater only because they raised the park fee from $200 for the
weekend to $240 per day. The other expenses of the pot-of-gold, and others
made this a loser. We looked at a number of sites, and yes all were south,
but this was the best site for the over all event.                Byron
