Herr Gerrold,

My thanks to he who has paid your price, your
assistance is most welcome. For the future, know that
I will be happy to ensure your services and so you can
begin your treaties with me and know that you will be
dealt with fairly.

As to the passions of youth, aye I do remember those
days and I would not trade my past for anything.
However, as you said, people change and for me the
security of a place to call my home became the biggest
prize. You start down that road and you make sure to
never strive against your home, making pledges and
swearing oaths to that effect, and then before you
know it you are a loyalist; but again I would not
trade those choices for anything. Yes I was once a
mercenary, but now I serve my King and my home with
the same fervor that I once sought the coin.

As to murky moral issues, I will leave that to the
philosophers. For me it comes to this, a man has come
and threatened my home, the people that I love and
those that I call brethren, for that he must be
defeated. I am glad to know that you will be with us
and look forward to seeing you in the field

In service to the Crown and the home I love,
Kainin
Baron of Bonwicke
