Come and join us in our quest for the next Mendersham Defender!

Pray, Good Gentles, come join us in Mendersham's search for our next
Defenders! There shall be both Heavy and Light Tournaments. Can you defeat
all comers? Or try your luck at the Royal Hunt with Thrown Weapons. Can
your skills provide meat for the table? Bring your best and proudest piece
to our Arts and Sciences competition. Open theme, no documentation
required. Voting will be done by the populace. Perform your best or your
new or just your favorite Bardic piece for the populace in the evening. We
hope to top the evening with drummers and dancers.
Site opens at 4pm Friday, and closes at 12 noon Sunday.
It has been raining here, and the site is green. The mosquitoes are also
out, so be sure to bring your bug spray. It looks to be a lovely weekend
for being out of doors, wearing your summer garb, beating on your friends
(or watching them getting beat on), throwing pointy things, showing your
projects and artistic endeavours, entertaining around a fire, and visiting
with your friends. There will be children's activities. Lady Ysoulde
(George) is cooking a traditional Western Ansteorra feast featuring brisket,
cole slaw, potato salad for 50. Site is wet, period containers, please.
Pets are welcome on a leash.

There are electrical and water hookups.

Take I-20, exit 249, follow the SCA signs to Lake Sweetwater Park (the
Gothic Site).

Site$8 for 18+, $5 for 6-17, under 6 free
Feast $6 for 12+, $4 for 6-11, under 6 free.
