[Western] Barbarian Festival in Crossplains

There has been several books put out in the last year or two that are reissues of his writings, even contain uncompleted stories on his major characters. They also contain biographies on him. Enjoyable reading, even the stories he did not complete. I have seen the signs posted for their festival, when I have traveled thru but keep forgetting to go back and check it out. I even stopped once and took a look at his home there in Cross Plains.

  If you want a really good DVD that tells the story about Howard (the creator and writer if the Conan the Barbarian and Red Sonja) check out "The Whole Wide World" starring Vincent D'Onofrio and Renee Zellweiger.  It's a good historical piece and explains much about his life in Cross Plains.
