A Day In The Ottoman Empire


October 19-21, 2007

Sweetwater Lake (Gothic Site)

Sweetwater, TX



Join us as we travel the Silk road in the days when life was built around
trade and the Ottoman Empire was at it's center.

Trelac will be revisiting an old tradition as we choose our Defenders for
the first time in many years. This will be your opportunity to become a
Champion among many in the Western Region.

*Events Include:*

Rapier, Chivalric, Knife Axe & Spear, Archery, A&S, Bardic, and Middle
Eastern Dance. Each of the winners will win a magnificent prize and will be
given a favor that denotes you as our defender.

*Site:* Opens  5:00pm Friday and Closes at 12 noon on Sunday.

*Site Fees: *$10 adults, minors 5-17 $5, under 5 free, family cap $25, $3.00
non-member surcharge.

*Feast Fees:** *$5 adults and minors 5-17, under 5 free.

Make checks payable to The Shire of Trelac.

Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

They may also attend with a 21-year or older adult with a signed and
notarized Minor Event Waiver Form from the parents.



Feast Menu:

Beef Kebab with two sauces.

Flatbread

Smoked Spiced Olives and Cheese

Jasmine Rice

Green Salad


Details:

¬      A Potluck Dessert Revel and Hafla will be held after feast.  If you
would like, please bring a favorite dessert dish to share.

¬      A table decorating contest will also be held at feast, prizes will be
awarded!

¬      Site is wet in period containers.

¬      Pets are allowed on a leash.

Directions:

Make your way to I-20 in Sweetwater.
Take EXIT 249 toward FM 1856.
Turn LEFT onto FM 1856.
Follow the SCA signs.
