<P>Numerous times at faires and craft shows, etc. Ffynnon Gath has put on 'fight a knight' and 'kill the wabbitt' The first is for 5 -10 or 11 years and older and the 'wabbitt' is for the young ones. We charge a dollar and the fighters duel with the kids with boffers - fending off blows only. Then the fighters die dramatically. In the 'wabbitt' game, the wabbitt has a free base so he/she can get away from the little 'wabbitt' killers. I made a tail and big mittens (fake fur), then I used a football helmet, covered it with fake fur and put ears on it. We used a football helmet covered with gray tape for the other helm. Even put viking horns on one. Always use a marshall and have the fighters wear cups.:) Gently explain to the kid before you start that once the fighter is on the ground 'dead', they are supposed to stop beating them. Little kids really get into it.</P>
<P>We also set up a shooting range and charged a dollar for 4 arrows and let the kids shoot at an armored fighter who had a small shield. Just don't use cross bows and always wear a cup.</P>
<P>These are easy things to set up and tear down - just make a few signs and set up a little list field and get a money box.</P>
<P>You don't have to charge, but it is a good money maker...</P>
