<DIV>As everyone who knew me knows, I moved to San Francisco 6 years ago and got married to a most wonderful woman, Martha. We have been married now almost 5 years and have a daughter, Claire, who is 3. What most of you do not know is that for the last 4.5 years, Martha and I have had custody of our niece, Taylor. She is the reason that I am asking for thoughts and prayers. After all this time, we have decided for numerous reasons to petition the Courts to award us permanent guardianship of Taylor. I will not make the reasons public as this is not a forum for airing dirty laundry and for telling only one side of the story. All that I ask for is your thoughts and prayers as we pursue this, especially for Taylor who is now 8 years old. We have a a temporary guardianship hearing already and the courts decided that Taylor should stay with us for now and not return to her biological parents at this time. The next hearing is tentatively set for July 19.</DIV>
