            July  27-29, 2001 Barony of Bryn Gwlad (Austin, Tx)

Courtiers  of  the  Knowne  Worlde,  sharpen  your  rapiers, summon up your
courage  and  clad  yourselves  in extravagant finery.  It is time to shine
above  your rivals at HRM Larissa's Queen's Championship Tournament!  Here,
pomp and ceremony will abound as Their Excellencies Pendaran & Jehanne open
wide  the gates of Bryn Gwlad to all nobles and gentles who seek to justify
their aristocratic privilege and earn a place in TRM's Court.

To  bask  in  Her  favored  light  (and  as  a future reminder of this most
auspicious  occasion),  HRM  requests  (but  does  not  require)  a  letter
heralding   yourself,  your  deeds  and  your  intent  to  compete  in  Her
tournament.

Do  not let slip this opportunity to bring honor to Queen and to attend Her
splendid  Court!  Make  your  plans  now  to  travel to Bryn Gwlad for this

sites for a wealth of frequently updated and important event information.

Tournament:   The list will be a double elimination tournament with "double
kills"  counted  as  a  death  for  both fighters.  Period attire is highly
recommended.

Feast:  The feast will feature light foods that will counter well the heat.
(i.e.  cold  roasts  with  several  sauces, pickled vegetables, relish with
bread,  cold  pies,  cold fruits).  The feast is limited, so please contact
Clarissa  di  Firenze  at clarissa at supportyou.com for reservations.  Please
bring your own tables and chairs.

Rose  Ball:  Mistress Ariella d'Aille will be hosting a Royal Ball (Grecian
theme),  with  live  musicians,  for the pleasure of TRM and Their populace
following Court.  Special entertainment will be offered between sets.

Site:  Camping is provided in a beautiful pecan grove with public waterways
on  2  sides  and  portable  showers  available, however, no open fires are
allowed.   The  site  is  wet and a special "Enchanted Ground" area will be
provided for period encampments.  The area immediately surrounding the list
field  will  be available for period pavilions by reservation only.  Please
send your reservations to the Event Steward.

Directions:   In Austin, Tx., take best route to the intersection of RR2222
and Loop 360 (Capital of Texas Hwy). Go north on RR2222 .7 miles. Turn left
on City Park Rd., go .9 miles. Turn left on Bridgepoint Pkwy., go .2 miles.
Turn  right  on Coldwater Canyon Dr., go .3 miles to bottom of hill.  Enter
property  on  dirt road and follow the signs to the waterfront.  Address is
7400 Coldwater Canyon Dr.

Minors  must  be  accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.  They may also
attend  with  a  21  year  or older adult with a signed and notarized Minor
Event Waiver form from the parents.
