[Ansteorra-announce] Event Annoucement: Midsummer Faire, June 1-3

Greetings to the Populace of the Great Kingdom of Ansteorra.

In two short weeks the Canton of Gate's Edge will be hosting
our Eleventh Annual Midsummer Faire to find champions for
the Canton.

Champions will be chosen for the following endeavors:

Archery     Arts and Sciences     Bardic     Armored Combat
Dance       Equestrian            Games      Rapier Combat
                  Knife, Axe, and Spear


An overall Faire Champion will also be chosen. The
Faire Champion will be chosen from those participants who
enter at least 5 of the individual competitions.

There are many planned activities for children and we will
also choose a Children's Champion. Children's activities will
include Archery, Arts & Crafts, Equestrian (with stick horses),
Bardic and Theater, Games, and a Youth Rapier Tournament
will be mixed in with the Adult Rapier Tournament

The Canton shall reward all of our champions with prizes and scrolls.

Site fee is $6 for adults, children 5 and under are free, ages 12
and under are half price. There is a family maximum of $18 for
site fees. Feast fee is $6.

Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Minors may also attend with a 21 year or older adult with a
signed and notarized Minor Event Waiver Form from the parents.

Feast will consist of: breads with flavored butters, assorted cheeses,
beef, chicken, salad greens, green beans, carrots, and fruit compote.
If you have special food requirements, please contact the Feast Steward.
Feast is limited so reservations are encouraged. Call or email the
Feast Steward for reservations.

This is a dry site. Pets are allowed on leash with current WRITTEN
proof of Rabies Vaccination. Horses must show written proof of a
negative coggins test. Merchants are welcome, please contact the event
steward. The site opens at 4PM on Friday.

Our Site this year is Camp Camwood, a Girl Scout camp in the rural
Magnolia/Hockley area.
