[Ansteorra-announce] Children's Activities at Mid Summer Faire

Greeting good gentles of Ansteorra, Lady Caelainn Minister of Children for
The Canton of Gate's Edge has this news to share regarding the activities
for the young at the rapidly approaching event Mid Summer Faire June 1-3.

Calling All Children
Tired of SCA events where everything is for the adults, well you are in for
a treat.  Join us at Mid Summer Faire where there are activities for you
from 9am-5pm.  Of course there are plenty of things for your parents to do
as well.

Want to be our Champion?
·	Bring an Arts and Sciences project you’ve been working on at home, or make
a favor at the event to enter in the children’s A&S competition.

·	Compete in games which test you equestrian skill, your adherence to the
code of honor, and are just plain fun.

·	Compete in bardic if you so choose or spend the time learning to play
middle Eastern rhythms on a homemade drum, or learning a song.

·	Do you love to act in plays, and make your own props?  Join in and play a
part which you will then perform for all in the hall during feast.

·	What to shoot a bow and arrow?  All children 5 and up can learn how to do
archery with a parent or guardian present.

Participate in all these things and you could be the next Children’s
Champion for Gate’s Edge!
